ViscoTec America, Inc. and Mission Design & Automation recently teamed up to develop a specialized Dispense Buddy configuration tailored to the high-mix, low-volume production needs common in manufacturing environments in aerospace, defense, medical device, and electronics industries—realistically anywhere that requires precise small-volume dispensing, commonly known as micro-dispensing. This machine pairs the Buddy System’s intuitive software and mobile base with the preeflow® eco-PEN 450 from ViscoTec, creating a dependable option for micro-dispensing tasks that require accuracy and repeatability.

Mission created Dispense Buddy to minimize barriers for teams who need reliable dispensing without requiring engineering experience. Its compact mobile base makes it easy to wheel to different production areas, so operators across your facility can put it to work where they need it most. The machine’s software gives teams the flexibility to create and adapt dispense paths quickly through a drag-and-drop interface.
The Buddy System offers a straightforward approach that helps manufacturers automate manual steps without requiring changes to the validated process already in place and without the need for robotics specialists or automation engineers on staff for programming. This empowers existing team members, elevating their work experience from manual tasks by adding robotic programming to their wheelhouse. With the addition of the ViscoTec preeflow® eco-PEN 450, Dispense Buddy now operates at a higher level of precision. The eco-PEN 450’s ability to maintain consistent, repeatable flow rates supports reliable dispensing on small, intricate products like circuit boards or electronic assemblies.
