With more than 20 years of extensive experience in the automation industry, Halford is a valuable addition to our executive team. His expertise will be pivotal in enhancing our operations and helping drive the next phase of growth for Mission Design & Automation.
A Proven Leader in Automation
Gerald Halford’s journey in the automation industry began directly after he graduated from Central Michigan University with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. His career has encompassed various roles, including jobs in engineering, project management, and business leadership.
“In some way, shape, or form—my whole career has been in automation,” Halford said. “It has all been spent in this industry, and it has been a lot of fun.”
Focusing on Customer-Centric Growth
Gerald is eager to connect with customers and collaborate closely with Mission’s functional teams, helping drive growth and innovation within the company. He also noted he’s looking forward to getting back to the fundamentals of automation and what makes a company in this industry successful: the people.
“It’s amazing to watch the Mission team solve customer issues with teamwork and innovation. It is a testament to the leadership at Mission that has been here, and it is exciting to be a part of that team and the future growth and potential,” Halford said.
Life Outside Automation: Gerald Halford’s Hobbies and Interests
There’s more to Gerald than his professional accomplishments, including his interests in sports, cars, and music. Outside of work, Gerald is a passionate coach for his four children, mentoring them in baseball, soccer, and wrestling. As a true “Gearhead,” he loves tinkering with cars, Jeeps, motorcycles—“anything with a motor,” as he puts it.
