CO-OP AND INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
Mission Design & Automation offers meaningful internship and engineering co-op opportunities designed to give students real, hands-on experience in modern industrial automation. Interns work side-by-side with seasoned engineers and technicians, contributing to real customer projects and gaining exposure to robotics, controls, mechanical design, manufacturing, and project execution. Whether assisting with concept development, programming, testing, or documentation, students are immersed in the full lifecycle of automation systems while building practical skills that translate directly into their future careers. Mission’s collaborative, fast-paced environment gives interns the chance to learn, grow, and make an impact—while exploring what it’s like to be part of a leading automation integrator.
APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAMS
Investing in our team is the way we keep Mission a great place to work. Apprenticeships are offered to employees who are interested in advancing their technical skills and furthering their education. Aprenticeship programs offer a combination of in-class instruction and practical on-the-job training. All of our apprentices are supported and guided through the program with mentorship and individual attention to ensure they are successful both in the classroom and on the job.
MACHINE BUILDER
Our two-year apprenticeship in machine building provides individuals with in-depth knowledge in building automation machinery. From assembling small, single-operator stations to large, fully automated cells, machine builder apprentices experience the full spectrum of machine building in the automation industry. Building fully customized automation equipment provides a unique experience for our apprentices to continually learn and adjust their approach to building unfamiliar equipment.
On-the-job Training:
Operate metalworking machinery and learn to shape/fabricate parts
Inspect, operate, and test completed products
Rework and repair custom machinery, troubleshoot and implement solutions
Interpret blueprints and ensure customer specifications are met
